Introduction to G2

Content Marketing Manager Mara Calvello reached out via Twitter (X) in January 2022 to discuss a potential freelance opportunity with G2. We ironed out the details — scope, rates, and assignment structure — entirely over email, which meant no scheduling back-and-forth and a fast start. I received an onboarding document with instructions for a one-month trial: five glossary pages written to G2's specific format and standards.

Ongoing work and results

After completing the trial in February 2022, G2 brought me on to write five to ten glossary pages per month. Over two years, I wrote 140+ glossary pages spanning topics from sales and marketing to AI and SEO. Two of those pages — The User is Drunk and Search Engine Optimization — were featured in G2's now-retired newsletter, G2 Tea.

In early 2024, G2 invited me to transition from glossary pages into longer-form blog content — a reflection of the trust built over two years of consistent, on-time delivery. Blog posts covered a wide range of topics. View my G2 author page and published work.
